The Cyprus Radio Television Authority (CRTA) is a member of several networks of regulators and has ongoing relations with many foreign regulatory authorities.

The Cyprus Radio Television Authority is a member of 2 major networks: the European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA) and the Mediterranean Network of Regulatory Authorities (RIRM). The CRTA acts as permanent secretariat for the RIRM. In 2013, the Cyprus Radio Television Authority will hold the Vice-Presidency of the RIRM and in 2014, the Presidency of the Network.

The CRTA has played a crucial role in setting up a new platform: the Network of EU Audiovisual Regulatory Authorities, with the aim to create a forum exclusively devoted to the debate and enhanced cooperation amongst the audiovisual regulatory authorities operating in the member states of the European Union on issues of common interest. During the first meeting of the Network of EU Audiovisual Regulatory Authorities in Limassol on 5th May 2011, the participants from 11 EU countries drew up a common declaration. The common declaration has been adopted by the Councils of 10 Authorities and the network will extend the participation to include all EU member state countries by inviting the other EU country authorities to become members.

The Cyprus Radio Television Authority regularly participates in seminars and conferences organized by other regulatory authorities to learn from others and to share its knowledge with other bodies on common issues, mainly issues related to the AVMS Directive.

In addition, the Cyprus Radio Television Authority welcomes foreign delegations wishing to learn from its experience.

It has privileged relations with several audiovisual regulatory authorities: The NMHH (Media Council of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority) of Hungary, the BAM (Broadcasting Authority) of Malta, the CSA (Conseil Supérieur de l’Audiovisuel) of France, and the ERC (Entidade Reguladora para a Comunicação Social) of Portugal.
